Terms of Service

1. The service

Printastic provides a 3D-print cost-and-time calculator that analyses 3D model files you upload, runs them through slicing engines for one or more printer/material profiles, and returns estimated weight, time, and cost. Outputs are estimates, not guarantees — actual print results depend on your machine's calibration.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@printastic.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Tokens and payments

• Calculations are paid for with tokens. One typical calculation costs 10 tokens; heavy meshes (10M+ triangles) cost 30 tokens.
• Tokens are purchased in packages priced in Euro (EUR), VAT included where applicable. Prices may change with notice; already-purchased tokens are unaffected.
• Tokens do not expire and are non-transferable between accounts.
• Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase for unused tokens. See the Refund Policy for details.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Upload files you don't have the right to process (copyright or trademark infringement).
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the service to bypass token charges.
• Use automated traffic to overwhelm calculation queues beyond the published rate limits.
• Use the service to generate models or content that violate the laws of your jurisdiction or ours.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with reasonable notice unless the violation is severe.

5. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of every file you upload. We hold a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your files solely for the purpose of running calculations and rendering reports for your account. We do not use your files to train models, do not show them to other users, and do not sell or share them with third parties.

The Printastic platform, brand, logos, and authored content (marketing copy, illustrations) are our property and protected by copyright and trademark law.

6. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. Calculation outputs are estimates — we don't guarantee a printed part will match the predicted weight, time, or cost down to the last gram or second.

To the maximum extent permitted by EU consumer law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death/personal injury caused by our negligence.

7. Termination

You can close your account at any time from cabinet settings. We may close accounts that violate these Terms with reasonable notice. On termination, you can request a refund of any unused tokens purchased in the last 14 days.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by German law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Berlin, Germany. EU consumer-protection rules remain in force where they grant you stronger rights than the Terms.

9. Changes

We'll email all active accounts at least 14 days before any material change to these Terms. Continued use of the service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
